Case Study — Consumer Product — Eco Travel — Kenya & Export

Roamfresh

Role

Brand Architect

Focus

Naming, Identity, Packaging, Market Entry

Product

Eco Travel Oral Care

Market

Kenya first, built to export

Overview

Travel essentials are a brand graveyard — functional, forgettable, environmentally careless. Roamfresh was a ground-up brand build for the conscious modern nomad: someone who camps in the Aberdares, treks in Kilimanjaro's foothills, and refuses to trade their values for convenience.

The Brief

Create the whole thing: name, identity, packaging, product line architecture, and a route into the Kenyan market. The product had to match the identity — 85% organic packaging, bamboo toothbrush, fully biodegradable materials.

Approach

Don't compete with pharmacy brands on price or placement — compete with lifestyle brands on identity. Roamfresh is a travel companion with a point of view, positioned for the Kenyan market first with a brand architecture that scales internationally.

Every design decision reinforced the environmental commitment, down to the manufacturing brief validated with Chinese production partners.

The Work

A complete consumer brand: identity system, packaging structure and graphics, product line architecture, and the lifestyle storytelling that positions toothpaste as gear, not toiletries.

Outcome

  • Defined a new product category in Kenya's travel retail market
  • Packaging design validated by Chinese manufacturing partners
  • Brand architecture built to scale from Kenyan retail to the international eco-travel market
  • Identity system ready for line extension beyond toothpaste

If this is you

If you're launching into a category that doesn't exist yet, you have to teach the market before you can sell to it. I build the brand and the story that make a new idea feel obvious.
